Junior Annual Function of Grade I & II
Dwarka International School’s Junior Annual Day Celebration for Grade 1 and 2 was held on October 4 & October 5,2024 with the theme “Ramayana – An epic of yesterday, today and tomorrow”. The event was graced by Renowned Bharatnatyam Exponent Smt. Ragini Chandrashekhar on October 4,2024 and Smt. Vidha Lal, a renowned Kathak exponent on October 5,2024 as chief guests. Dignitaries present included Honourable Chairman,Shri Virender Kumar, Academic Advisors, Ms. Sudesh Thakran and Ms. Ritu Chaudhary, Respected Principal, Ms Shweta Oberoi and Headmistress; Ms. Archana Rathi.
The students of Grade 1 and 2 mesmerized the audience with their vibrant performances, depicting the epic Ramayana through music, dance, and drama. The event also featured a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where academic achievers of the session 2023 were felicitated with appreciation awards. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the chief guests, dignitaries, parents, and students for making the event a grand success.

Science Exhibition
Our school has organized a science exhibition on 31st August 2024.The exhibition had a number of students of class IX & X and teachers participating and collaborating hand in hand to make the event successful.
The science fair was named as “SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE SOCIETY.
The students displayed their creative scientific potential in diverse arenas revolving around the themes of contemporary significance, namely, Agriculture and food security, Sources of energy and their conservation, Transport and communication, Disaster Management, Health, Robotics and engineering sciences under the guidance of Head of Science Department Ms. Sulekha Khanna .Students were at their innovative best as they designed their own automobile, hover craft, motorboats, metal detectors, echo rangers, rural air conditioners, earthquake impact detectors to unique designs for tapping alternative sources of energy and new ways to conserve the conventional ones. The event in itself ignited the scientific curiosity in children and gave them a platform to give concrete dimensions to their ideas, from the zone of imagination to realism. All senior students were engrossed in explanations and hard-sell, to prove that their models were the best.
The exhibition didn’t not only provide the opportunity to children to execute their scientific ideas but also gave them the platform to demonstrate their ideas to a large group of science teachers , parents and fellow students. Based on the feedback and suggestive ideas of the science teachers, the children gained a wider and a newer perspective on further development of their model or project. The students also got the unique experience of demonstrating and explaining their ideas to a wide variety of audience which further enhanced their confidence, communication and inter personal skills, overall, a boost to their personality.
On the whole, the Science exhibition was a great learning experience for both the students and teachers alike wherein it seemed that the world of science practically came alive, through the blooming projects of our young student innovators.
Independence Day Celebration At Dwarka International School
The 77th Independence Day celebration at DWARKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL was a memorable event filled with pride, patriotism, and a vibrant display of cultural performances. The program, held on August 14, 2024, was a beautiful tribute to the nation’s journey toward freedom and progress. The event brought together students, teachers, and staff in a spirited celebration of our nation’s independence. The day began with a warm welcoming ceremony, as students and teachers gathered to celebrate. The school’s tricolour decorations created a festive atmosphere, with banners, flags, enhancing the patriotic mood. Everyone waited eagerly for the program to begin, filled with enthusiasm and respect for the nation. The celebration officially commenced with the Flag-Hoisting Ceremony. Our esteemed Chairman Sir, Mr. Virendra Kumar along with Education Advisors- Mrs. Sudesh Thakran and Mrs. Ritu Choudhary and Our Respected Principal – Mrs. Shweta Oberoi, had the honour of hoisting the national flag, as the entire school stood in reverence, singing the National Anthem. The sight of the tricolour fluttering high in the sky filled everyone with immense pride. Following the flag hoisting, Chairman Sir delivered a thoughtful and inspiring address. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of this day and reminded the students of the importance of unity, responsibility, and dedication towards the nation. He encouraged the students to work hard and contribute to building a progressive India, staying true to the values that our freedom fighters upheld.
Next, a student representative delivered a speech on freedom, paying homage to the countless sacrifices made by freedom fighters to secure our independence. The speech highlighted the meaning of true freedom, the responsibilities that come with it, and urged fellow students to cherish and safeguard the hard-earned liberty of the nation. The choir group followed with a beautiful song presentation, which included powerful renditions of patriotic songs. Their performance filled the air with emotion as they sang songs that moved the audience deeply. This tribute to the nation was heartfelt and sincere, reflecting the pride and love for our country. The dance performance by the students was a vibrant and energetic display of India’s diverse culture. The dancers showcased traditional and contemporary moves, representing the unity in diversity that defines our nation. Their graceful performance was a reminder of the rich heritage we share as Indians. A highlight of the event was the musical theatre performance presented by the theatre department. The students portrayed key moments from India’s freedom struggle through a combination of acting, music, and dance. The moving performance honoured the bravery of the freedom fighters and was met with thunderous applause from the audience. After the captivating performances, our Principal Mrs. Shweta Oberoi addressed the gathering. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in organizing such a memorable event. In her address, the Principal spoke about the importance of education in shaping the future of the nation and urged students to be responsible, patriotic citizens who contribute to India’s progress. The final cultural presentation was a heartfelt rendition of the iconic song “Sare Jahan Se Acha,” performed by the school choir. This timeless song, which has long been a symbol of national pride, filled the atmosphere with patriotism, reminding everyone of the greatness of our motherland. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the student representatives, expressing gratitude to the teachers, students, and school management for their hard work and participation
Independence Day 2024 at Dwarka International School was a day of remembrance, pride, and celebration, a reminder of our country’s glorious past and a hope for a brighter, more united future.
Investiture Ceremony

The school held the Investiture Ceremony 2024-25 on Wednesday, 31 July 2024 in the auditorium. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Lieutenant General Sanjiv Rai, recipient of PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM and superannuated as Chetak Corpse Commander. Ms. Neelu Rai, Occult Science Consultant graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony commenced with the formal welcome of the dignitaries and the felicitation of the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. In accordance with the tradition of the school, igniting the lamp of knowledge and the invocation ceremony followed next. The programmed advanced with the prime custom of bestowing badges and sashes to the school council, the prefectorial board by the dignitaries. The Head Girl, Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Cultural Secretary, Editors-In-Chief, Discipline Secretary, Environment Captain, Sports Captain and House Captain marched onto the stage with confidence and head held high. The parade of the contingent of houses and discipline prefects echoed exuberance, strength and vibrance. The Principal Ms. Shweta Oberoi administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed student council, who swore to serve their Alma Mater with utmost sincerity and to the best of their abilities. The Vice Principal Ms Anamika formally introduced the Chief Guest to the august gathering and invited him to the podium to address the gathering, in his enlightening speech he asked the parents as well as teachers to plant in the students seeds of passion, patriotism and learning. He congratulated the school prefectorial board and urged them to be honest and develop integrity of character while pursuing academic brilliance. The formally passing the baton by the outgoing Head Boy Reet Rathore to the newly appointed Head Girl Mahi Singh and Head Boy Sanchay Makhija was the moment of the day. While addressing the audience, Reet became nostalgic remembering the days he spent in the campus; he thanked his teachers and everyone associated with the school. Mahi and Sanchay brimmed with confidence as they articulated their thoughts on leadership and responsibilities. Ms. Sudesh Thakran and Ms. Ritu Choudhary Academic Advisors congratulated the school cabinet and asked them to put in efforts to take the school to greater heights of success. The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks rendered by the Headmistress Archana Rathi followed by the rendition of the national anthem.
