known for nurturing academic excellence along with strong moral and ethical values that make our
students inclusive, secular, and winners for life. Our aim is to bring forth responsible citizens of the
world who make a difference and who will make the school and nation proud of their achievements
and stellar personal qualities.
Foundational School
Foundational Stage education is important and beneficial for any child attending nursery school
because it gives the child a head starts through social interactions. Through cognitive, psychosocial
and physical development-based learning a child in preschool learns about their environment and
how to verbally communicate with others. Children who attend Preschool learn how the world
around them works through play and communication.
Preparatory School
The educational approach of Our Kindergarten is based on playing, singing, practical activities such
as drawing, and social interaction as part of the transition from home to school. The primary
education as a single phase where programmes are typically designed to provide fundamental skills
in reading, writing, and mathematics and to establish a solid foundation for learning.
We offer developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to build the child’s social and
academic skills and to prepare them for the school in general. Learning through experience is
imparted through exposure to myriads of activities in both the Scholastic and the Co-scholastic areas
during this impressionistic stage.
Middle School
The Middle School program is designed to meet the needs of the students in grades six through
eight as they become mature, independent workers and thinkers. Students are expected to be
personally responsible in a framework that allows for intellectual curiosity and the development of
positive moral and social values. We, here in DIS focus on developing critical thinking and social skills
in our students.
Secondary School
First stage of secondary education building on primary education, typically with a more subject-
oriented curriculum.
Second/final stage of secondary education preparing for tertiary education or providing skills
relevant to employment. Usually with an increased range of subject options and streams. With our
clubs, athletics, and fine art electives, the students can grow and mature in their areas of interest.
DIS’s dedicated staff forms close bonds with our student body and the upper school students are
able to form valuable relationships with our younger students through mentoring and buddy
programs. Academics combined with positive social, athletic, and aesthetic experiences provide a
nurturing atmosphere to the students.
